'Gentle, but determined, with a tendency toward the smoky' (Sueddeutsche Zeitung) -- that is how Luka Blau sings about everything that moves him. His debut album Bisschen Beides (2024) became a surprise hit, achieved well over one million streams, and has since been in regular rotation on the highest-reach radio stations in the German-speaking world. His songs deliberately cross classic genre boundaries. They deal with ambivalences and contradictions, with egocentrism and the fast pace of the times -- but equally with new beginnings, the small wonders of life, and love. In his lyrics, Luka Blau takes a clear stance against the far right and shows that pop can be more than just entertainment. In 2025, the partly sold-out Bisschen Beides tour followed. Together with Betty Akhigbe (bass, violin, vocals), Mayso Schindele (keys, trombone, vocals), and Vincent Crusius (drums, vocals), a catchy, moving pop sound emerges that still moves off the beaten path.
