Since 2009, Uferlos has been a permanent part of Freising. Ten days of music, culture and community, with free admission, right in the heart of the city. Why Uferlos
More than a festival
What began in 2009 as an idea at a kitchen table in Freising is now one of Bavaria's largest free cultural festivals. Uferlos stands for music, art and encounters without an entry fee, carried by a community that believes in the power of culture.
After the pandemic pause, the festival celebrated its comeback in 2023 and has grown in reach and relevance ever since. Becoming a partner here is not an investment in ad space, but in a cultural project with real roots and a loyal audience.

In 2026, Uferlos begins a new chapter. Built on over 15 years of experience, with a professional structure and fresh ideas. Anyone who joins now actively helps shape the future of one of Bavaria's largest free cultural festivals.
The Uferlos you know and love.
The festival is coming back in 2026. Same Luitpoldanlage, same free entry, same relaxed atmosphere that has been bringing Freising together since 2009. Uferlos is not becoming a different festival. It stays what it has always been: a place where everyone feels welcome.
Musically, the direction stays the same: pop, rock, jazz, world music, electronic music and much more. The booking team that has curated the program for years remains on board and continues to actively shape Uferlos. The signature you know is preserved.
What changes: The new non-profit gGmbH ensures that every euro stays in the project. We are using the break to make things better, not to make them different. The core stays, the improvements come on top.
